Brief on Christmas
WAY2GOD | Luke 2: 1-20

This is a brief story of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ in the city of Judaea. He is the Lord of the lineage of King David, who is the son of the Highest, God Almighty also called the Son of Man. He was born of a virgin, Mary, the espoused wife of Joseph. He was the man from Galilee, who came to save the world but the world did not know or believe Him that He is the true Son of the Highest also called the Messiah, who is hundred out of hundred God as well as human.

Once, a time came to pass for the entire world to be taxed in those days according to the decree of Caesar Augustus. (...this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) Everyone including Joseph and Mary went into their own city, Bethlehem, the city of David to be taxed. At that time she was pretty closed to deliver her baby and after she had brought forth her firstborn son, she wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger for there was no shoulder for them to lay their baby down in the inn.

The Angels were appearing to the country shepherds, and they were sore afraid. One of the angels said unto them: Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For, unto you are born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill toward men" (Lk.2). This is the declaration of God, or from above through the angels that the baby boy was not just a normal human but also the Messiah who was promised through His prophets like Micah and Isaiah (Micah 5:2 & Isaiah 7, 9).

So, the angels disappeared and the shepherds were decided to visit what the Lord has made known to them. So, they haste and found Jesus, the baby boy, lying in a manger with His parents, Mary and Joseph. Mary kept all these things secret and pondered over them in her heart. The shepherds returned with joy, glorifying and praising God for all marvelous things they came to know and made public of what they had known.

As we came to know that Jesus was born to save you and me, are you with joy like the shepherds? Are you bringing the message of this joy to anyone since the moment you came to know it? If it is No! what is wrong and if it is yes, how about its consistency? Listen, our task is to spread God's word consistently and not for just some occasions. God is not happy when one sinner died for his sins, but in hearing that His children are repenting from their sins and live His way. He wants all mankind to be saved that is why He came to earth to save the whole world but the world did not know our Lord Jesus Christ.

Even the whole world didn't know and cast You aside, I will praise You, O! my God, I will sing you O! my God, though the world didn't know You, Lord Jesus Christ.
